The online community remains abuzz following Drake’s apparent dig at Metro Boomin while promoting 21 Savage’s latest album, American Dream.

The “Her Loss” rapper shared a Spotify screenshot on Instagram Story featuring British rapper 21 Savage’s “Just Like Me.” The use of shouting emojis on the track’s information drew fans’ attention, particularly aimed at the Heroes and Villains producer featured on the song.

The brewing tension between the two hip-hop artists surfaced when the 30-year-old Metro Boomin deleted a tweet expressing frustration that his latest project didn’t garner the same attention as Drake’s “Her Loss,” despite having more streams in 2022, as reported by XXLmag.

“Yet, ‘Her Loss’ still keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V,” he lamented. “Proof that awards shows are just politics and not for me. [I don’t care] about awards honestly; the true award and reward are knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”

In response, Drake seemingly took a shot at him during a live stream, addressing “the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet-and-deleters,” expressing his disdain.

However, Metro Boomin attempted to quell the flames during a Q&A session on X, stating that he had no issue with Drake.
