In a heartwarming reunion that sent waves of nostalgia, Kristen Stewart and her former co-star Jesse Eisenberg shared a significant moment at the Sundance Film Festival, marking 15 years since their joint venture in “Adventureland.”

Expressing her sentiments to PEOPLE during the event, the Twilight alum affectionately referred to Eisenberg as “my boy,” underlining the enduring connection between the two actors.

Stewart continued to pour out her admiration for Eisenberg, saying, “Jesse, I adore you and your work and your whole life, just endlessly and lifelong. Like, I’ll do it for my whole life. I love you. So much.” Their camaraderie, evident even after a decade and a half, showcased the genuine bond formed during their collaboration.

Adding to the emotional atmosphere, Eisenberg attended the festival to present the Visionary Award honor to Stewart. Speaking about the actress, he praised her commitment, authenticity, and emotional depth in her performances. Eisenberg noted, “Kristen is one of these rare performers where she is so committed, so authentic, so feeling, that you almost want to make sure she’s okay at the end of the day.”

Stewart, visibly touched by the accolade, expressed her gratitude for being honored at just 33 years old. “It’s really nice,” she remarked, appreciating the recognition of her contributions to the film industry.

Discussing the festival experience, Stewart offered insights into the unique world of filmmaking. She noted, “People that make movies that finally find their way [to Sundance], they’re like, psychotic.” Describing the filmmakers’ determination as a sort of controlled madness, she emphasized the passion required to pursue creative endeavors against all odds.

Drawing from her own experiences working with esteemed directors, Stewart reflected on the valuable lessons she gained. “When I was younger and worked with all of these incredible directors, they instilled this in me. I was so lucky. I was just a little tiny kid. And now, I’m like, ‘Don’t make a movie unless you have to,’” she remarked, offering a glimpse into her evolving perspective on the industry.

Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg’s reunion at the Sundance Film Festival not only reignited memories of their past collaboration but also showcased the enduring friendship and mutual respect between the two actors. As they shared moments of reflection and celebration, the encounter became a poignant chapter in their respective journeys in the world of cinema.
