Meghan Markle Stays Home as Prince Harry Receives ‘Living Legend of Aviation’ Honor Amid Child’s Illness

In a recent honor bestowed upon Prince Harry at the Aviation Hall of Fame on January 19, Meghan Markle took on the responsibility of caring for their children as one fell ill, according to reports from the PA news agency as cited by the Daily Mail. Originally slated to attend the 21st Annual Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills, the Duchess of Sussex remained at home due to the family’s unforeseen circumstances.

Residing in Montecito, California, the couple shares two children, 4-year-old Prince Archie and 2-year-old Princess Lilibet. The specific child affected by the illness and the details of the ailment have been kept private.

Despite Meghan’s absence, Prince Harry graciously accepted the title of a “living legend of aviation” in recognition of his commendable achievements as a pilot during his ten-year military tenure. During his acceptance speech, he warmly reminisced about host John Travolta’s historic dance with his late mother, Princess Diana, at the White House in 1985.

“I was just a one-year-old when you danced with my mum at the White House, and now look at us,” he shared, concluding with a touch of humor, “The only thing left to do is… not dance together but fly together.” The royal couple continues to navigate their familial duties with grace amid public and private commitments.
