Joseph Malinowski, better known as “Lieutenant Dan”, is arrested in Tampa on Friday morning for trespassing and boat violations.
The viral TikToker, famous for braving Hurricane Milton on his tiny boat, was arrested Friday morning by Tampa Police.
According to TMZ, Malinowski was charged with two outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court, along with a misdemeanor trespassing charge for remaining in a city park after being warned to leave.
The situation began Thursday when officers met with Dan at Bayshore Linear Park and Dock. Police claim Dan’s boat lacked a marine sanitation device, posing a public health hazard, and he was instructed to move it.
However, despite multiple warnings, his boat was still there the next morning, leading to his arrest.
Dan’s representative, Brandon Gilchrist, told TMZ that efforts are underway to secure his bail. Interestingly, his occupation is listed as “TikTok star” on his booking information.
