Mariah Carey, the iconic singer-songwriter and record producer, has shared a delightful holiday tradition with her daughter Monroe, offering fans a glimpse into her Christmas celebrations. Known as the “Queen of Christmas,” Carey recently opened up about her favorite holiday ritual during a special partnership with SiriusXM this month.
At 55, Carey revealed that one of her cherished traditions is cooking for the holidays. “I like to cook during the holidays. I make linguini with white clam sauce—my father’s favorite recipe,” she shared. “I make it every year, and sometimes my daughter Monroe helps me make it.” Carey described the tradition as “delicious,” emphasizing how much she enjoys this family moment.
While reflecting on her love for the holiday season, Carey also teased her plans for 2025, hinting at several exciting projects in the works. Although she didn’t want to reveal too much, the Touch My Body singer confirmed she is working on new music. “I don’t want to talk about it much,” Carey said, adding that her upcoming projects also include her book and a scripted series about her life. “There are things that have to do with my book and my scripted series. So many things, but I don’t want to go into it too far, because then everyone’s gonna say, ‘Why did you tell us this, and it didn’t happen?’”
Carey’s 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah, became a New York Times bestseller, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details about her scripted series, which has been in development for six years, according to Deadline.
This holiday season, Carey is also part of a festive initiative with SiriusXM. She will be taking over the Holly station with Mariah Mondays, a special holiday event airing on December 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 6 a.m. to midnight. Fans can tune in to hear Carey’s signature holiday cheer and celebrate the season with the ultimate “Queen of Christmas.”
As Carey balances her festive traditions with exciting future projects, it’s clear that she continues to captivate audiences with her timeless music and heartfelt moments with her family.
