Noah Centineo recently opened up about his return as Peter Kavinsky in the XO, Kitty spin-off series and shared how his former co-star, Lana Condor, reacted to the exciting news. In an interview with People, the 28-year-old actor revealed that he couldn’t wait to tell Lana about reprising his iconic role from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and her response was nothing short of enthusiastic.

Noah sent a message to Lana, and she responded with pure excitement, calling it “awesome” and “so great.” The heartfelt exchange between the two shows the bond they share, even after the To All the Boys franchise.

Centineo, who made his return as Peter Kavinsky in the XO, Kitty series that premiered on January 16, admitted that reprising the beloved character felt “kind of daunting”—and he wasn’t shy about saying it was “extremely scary.” “Peter Kavinsky and To All the Boys is so beloved that you kind of don’t want to touch it,” he explained.

Despite the fear, Noah expressed that he would never hesitate to take on the role again, acknowledging that playing Peter was a career-defining moment. “It’s a character that launched my career, and I’m grateful for that,” he shared.

Noah also took the opportunity to praise Anna Cathcart, who plays the lead in XO, Kitty, saying how proud he is of her accomplishments. “She’s just doing such an incredible job, and I’d do anything to support her,” he said.

The cameo came about due to perfect timing, as Noah was already in Seoul filming for season two of his show The Recruit when the producers of XO, Kitty reached out. “They just asked, ‘Hey, you’re shooting in Seoul at the same time we are. Would you do this cameo?’ I said, ‘Absolutely,'” Noah explained with enthusiasm.

This sweet moment between Noah and Lana and his return to the role of Peter Kavinsky has fans excited for the future of XO, Kitty and the beloved characters of the To All the Boys universe.
