In the debut episode of her new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan Markle gave listeners an intimate look into her daily life as a working mother, managing her family while running her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The Duchess of Sussex, who shares two children with Prince Harry, discussed her efforts to stay present for her daughter, Princess Lilibet, while maintaining her career. The three-year-old is still in preschool, attending for half days, and Meghan revealed that Lilibet often joins her during meetings.
“If she wakes up and wants to find me, she knows exactly where to look, even if my office door is closed,” Meghan shared during her conversation with Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. “She’ll be sitting on my lap during meetings with a grid of all the executives… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The actress-turned-entrepreneur expressed how much she values being able to work from home, especially from her Montecito residence, which allows her to be fully present for her children’s routines. “I don’t want to miss those moments,” Meghan said. “I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”
She also discussed the flexibility that modern technology offers, making it easier to manage her career while being a hands-on parent. “Technology is a wonderful tool for parents,” Meghan explained. “Like, why do I need to be at a desk? I have the same mindset in a carpool line.”
Meghan’s candid reflection on the challenges and rewards of balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship gave listeners a rare insight into her personal life, demonstrating her dedication to both her family and her business.
