Meghan Markle has finally addressed ongoing speculation about a potential second book, offering insight into her literary ambitions during a heartfelt podcast appearance.
In her first-ever podcast interview, aired on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on April 28, the Duchess of Sussex responded openly to questions about returning to writing. Host Jamie Kern Lima asked the former actress and bestselling author if she would consider publishing another book in the future.
Meghan, a mother of two, replied:
“Yes, maybe, for sure. Right now, I’m really loving everything related to hospitality, home, entertaining, food – all those kinds of lifestyle tips.”
While she didn’t confirm a memoir is on the way, the Duchess didn’t shut down the idea either.
“Something like that could be really fun,” she added, keeping fans curious about what might come next.
The Bench author also hinted at the types of books that interest her, saying:
“Children’s books are always wonderful. And I know people are often wondering if I’ll write a memoir, but I feel like I’ve got a lot more life to live before I’m ready for that.”
Her comments come in the wake of the buzz surrounding her husband Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, which sparked controversy within the royal family due to its candid revelations.

Meghan, who made her debut as an author with the 2021 children’s book The Bench, also penned the foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook during her time as a working royal.
As the Duchess of Sussex continues to explore new creative ventures, her latest remarks have only fueled anticipation about what she might write next—whether it be recipes, reflections, or a deeply personal memoir.
