Katy Perry Faces Legal Battle Over $15M Mansion as Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger Get Dragged In

Pop star Katy Perry is facing renewed legal scrutiny over her $15 million Santa Barbara mansion — and now Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger may be involved.

Katy Perry’s ongoing legal battle over her $15 million Santa Barbara estate has taken a new turn, with reports suggesting that Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger could soon be questioned in court. The Firework singer, 40, is expected to answer questions regarding rumors that the celebrity couple may be renting the luxury property.

The mansion in question is a lavish 8-bedroom, 9-bathroom estate spanning 9,285 square feet, which Perry purchased in 2020 from 85-year-old veteran entrepreneur Carl Westcott. However, shortly after the sale, Westcott attempted to reverse the transaction, claiming he was under the influence of post-surgery painkillers and not mentally fit to finalize the deal.

At the heart of the controversy is whether the real estate transaction was valid. Westcott filed a lawsuit against Bernie Gudvi, the manager who represented Perry during the sale, alleging that the contract should be voided due to impaired consent. Gudvi, however, declined to cancel the agreement.

The situation gained more public interest following a June 2024 report claiming that actor Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger had moved into the estate — allegedly under a rental agreement. This prompted speculation about the property’s occupancy and ownership status, which may now require testimony from the Hollywood couple.

The legal battle officially kicked off in November 2023, and the court ultimately ruled in Katy Perry’s favor, declaring her the rightful owner of the estate. Despite the ruling, the involvement of high-profile names like Pratt and Schwarzenegger has reignited media attention and raised questions about the property’s current use.

As of now, no formal allegations have been made against Pratt or Schwarzenegger, but their potential connection to the mansion could make them key witnesses in future proceedings.

With ongoing interest surrounding Katy Perry’s real estate deal and the legal complications it has sparked, the case continues to unfold in the public eye.
