Fresh off his People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025 title, Jonathan Bailey has made a confession that’s as surprising as it is relatable.
The Bridgerton and Wicked star, 37, was officially crowned with the title on November 4, marking a career milestone that thrilled fans worldwide. However, the actor admits that despite the recognition, there’s still one thing missing in his life — his education.
Jonathan Bailey Opens Up About His Education Struggles
In an interview with PEOPLE, Bailey revealed that he once enrolled in multiple online courses through Open University, only to be expelled after failing to complete them.
“I didn’t finish Open University, where you study from home,” he explained. “I signed up for about nine different courses, not realizing if you didn’t finish them, you get expelled.”
Among the subjects he attempted were volcanoes and tsunamis, Leonardo da Vinci, and music. While he managed to complete the music course, his unfinished classes ultimately led to his removal from the program.
Bailey admitted he’s still curious about one course in particular:
“So I didn’t finish my volcanoes and tsunami course, or my Leonardo da Vinci course. I did finish my music course, but just at that point, I got expelled. Hopefully that’ll be something I can go back to.”
‘I Want to Know What Happens with Volcanoes’
Despite his busy Hollywood schedule, Bailey remains eager to return to his studies someday.
“I want to know… what happens with volcanoes,” he said, laughing.
