Lizzo Faces Further Investigation Amid Harassment Allegations by Additional Employees

Lizzo, the popular singer, is reportedly facing a fresh wave of investigations after claims of harassment were brought forward by six more employees. This comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by three former backup dancers against her just last week.

According to lawyers representing the initial lawsuit against Lizzo, they have been meticulously “reviewing and vetting new complaints from at least six people with similar stories.” These individuals had worked alongside Lizzo and are now raising concerns about their experiences.

Ron Zambrano, an attorney involved in the case, explained that his legal team is currently delving into the experiences of dancers who collaborated with Lizzo during the production of her reality show, titled “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.”

In a statement shared with Page Six, Zambrano praised the original three accusers for their courage in coming forward and sharing their stories. He noted that their actions have inspired others to share their experiences, creating an environment where individuals feel empowered to speak out.

The new allegations, which Zambrano suggested might have legal implications, revolve around claims of a “sexually charged environment” and allegations that payments to employees were withheld.

Last week, three dancers from Lizzo’s former backup group publicly accused the Grammy-winning artist of fat-shaming, sexual harassment, and fostering a hostile work environment.

In response to these allegations, Lizzo vehemently denied the claims, describing them as “outrageous.” She defended her work ethic, morals, and respectfulness while expressing hurt over the accusations. She stressed that it was never her intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or undervalued as part of her team. Lizzo also emphasized that she is not a “villain” and thanked those who have shown support during this challenging time, affirming her commitment to the positive impact she has made in the world.
