Tina Knowles, the mother of global superstar Beyoncé, has come forward to debunk claims that her daughter was paid $10 million to appear at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in October.
The 70-year-old matriarch took to Instagram to address the allegations, sharing a screenshot of a blurred-out post initially shared on Candace Owens’ podcast account. Tina began her post by highlighting that Instagram flagged the claims as false, writing, “This has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down. It’s called False Information.”
She went on to criticize other platforms that continue to circulate the rumor, stating, “Sadly, other platforms with a lack of integrity still have it up. The lie is that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Tina clarified that Beyoncé did not receive any payment for her appearance, saying, “Beyoncé did not receive a penny for speaking at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris.” She also revealed that her daughter personally financed her participation in the event, including paying for her flights, her team’s travel, and all the costs for her glam team.
The rumors, which have been widely shared online, prompted Tina to step in and defend her daughter’s integrity, showcasing Beyoncé’s dedication to her causes without financial motives.
The clarification underscores Beyoncé’s ongoing commitment to using her platform for meaningful advocacy, with Tina ensuring the public knows the truth behind her daughter’s actions.
