In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, Eilish reflected on her most memorable look — and the powerful meaning behind it.
As part of a celebrity Q&A session, Euphoria actor and playwright Colman Domingo asked the Birds of a Featherhitmaker to reveal her favorite hair color. Known for switching up her style throughout her career, Eilish didn’t hesitate to name the shades that stood out to her the most.
“I really liked the green roots and the red root,” she said. “Green and black especially felt like such a personal and career-defining look for me. I felt so exactly who I was at that time.”
The nine-time Grammy Award winner described that era as one of deep self-connection. “It felt really nice to have something that felt mine,” she added.
Eilish, who debuted on the music scene in 2015 with platinum white hair, went on to explore a rainbow of shades — including cobalt blue that faded into soft teal, jet black, bright red, and platinum blonde.
