After a lengthy and highly publicized legal battle, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie officially finalized their divorce in December 2024. Now, the actor has spoken out for the first time since the settlement, sharing his thoughts on the conclusion of this chapter in his life.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine on May 28, the 61-year-old star of Fight Club discussed how he feels about the divorce being officially settled. Pitt downplayed the significance, describing it simply as “something coming to fruition. Legally.” He expressed that it wasn’t a major event for him personally.
The actor also addressed the constant media attention surrounding his private life. “It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro,” he said. “Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way.” He made it clear that being under the spotlight is something he has had to accept throughout his career.

When asked if his upcoming film F1, releasing on June 27, served as an escape from the scrutiny, Pitt responded that he does not see it that way. Instead, he called the media attention an ongoing annoyance that he learns to live with while pursuing his passions.
Reflecting on his current state of mind, Pitt shared, “Mostly I feel pretty… My life is fairly contained. It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my family, with my knowledge of who I am. It’s like this fly buzzing around a little bit.”
This interview marks one of the few occasions Pitt has spoken openly about his personal life since his breakup with Jolie. As the release of F1 approaches, the actor appears focused on moving forward, prioritizing his work and close relationships.
