Brad Pitt to Star in ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’ Sequel Directed by David Fincher

Brad Pitt is returning to the world of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood for a highly anticipated sequel, where he will reprise his role as the charismatic stuntman, Cliff Booth. The project, which is being directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino, is currently in development for Netflix, where Fincher holds a first-look deal.

While the sequel doesn’t yet have an official title, the reunion of Pitt and Fincher has already garnered significant excitement. The two filmmakers have a long history of successful collaborations, having worked together on iconic films such as Se7en, Fight Club, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the latter of which earned Pitt an Academy Award.

The film marks a significant shift, as it will be released directly on Netflix, deviating from the theatrical release of the original 2019 film. The move reflects a growing trend of big-budget movies finding a home on streaming platforms, with Netflix becoming a significant player in the film industry.

Although Pitt’s return as Cliff Booth has been confirmed, there is currently no word on whether Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie will reprise their roles as Rick Dalton and Sharon Tate, respectively. Fans are eager to see if these beloved characters will make an appearance, but the details remain unclear.

The sequel comes after Tarantino’s decision to scrap his plans for what was to be his 10th and potentially final film, The Movie Critic. The movie had been in development, with Pitt cast in the lead role of a film critic for a porn magazine in the 1970s. Rumors had suggested that Pitt’s character could have been a variation of his Once Upon a Time role, Cliff Booth, who in Tarantino’s novelization was revealed to be quite the movie buff.

This unexpected shift from Tarantino’s original plans has left fans wondering what direction the sequel will take, especially with such a celebrated team of filmmakers involved. The combination of Pitt’s return as the beloved Cliff Booth and the collaboration between Fincher and Tarantino is sure to generate major buzz as the project moves forward.

As details continue to emerge, the excitement for this Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood sequel only grows. Fans of the original film and these legendary filmmakers are sure to be eagerly awaiting what promises to be a thrilling cinematic experience.
