Bruno Mars and BLACKPINK’s Rosé have set a new streaming record with their global smash hit APT, surpassing BTS Jungkook’s previous achievement.
On Thursday, January 30, Rosé took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone, resharing a post announcing that APT had officially reached one billion streams on Spotify. The Die With a Smile singer also gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of her music video shoot, sharing a polaroid with the playful caption, “Wait, we have 1B streams..?! ” while adding in another corner, “I think so..”

Bruno Mars, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, also joined in on the celebration. He reposted the announcement, excitedly writing, “ROSIE!!!!!”—a possible nod to her debut solo album. He further reshared Spotify’s official statement, while Rosé, 27, reacted to the momentous achievement with a simple yet enthusiastic, “Insanityyyyyy.”
Keen-eyed fans had already noticed that APT had crossed the one billion mark by January 26, a day before Spotify made it official. Impressively, the song hit this milestone exactly 100 days after its release, breaking the previous record held by Jungkook’s Seven.
However, this wasn’t the only record Bruno Mars had to celebrate. Just a day before sharing the APT achievement, the musician revealed on his Instagram stories that he had become the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 150 million monthly listeners.
With these new milestones, Rosé and Bruno Mars continue to solidify their dominance in the global music scene, setting new benchmarks for future artists to reach.
