Despite her fight with Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Kim Kardashian assured the public that they have always shown up for each other when it matters most
On the May 30 episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney decided to put rumors of her feud with her sister Kim to bed while reacting to fan comments about her baby shower after she thanked her family members on Instagram for organizing the event.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Kourtney’s trolling,'” she said. “They think that we hate each other.”
The mom of four then recalled a heated argument she had with the SKIMS mogul in season 3.
The sisters came to blows when Kim informed Kourtney that she would be working on a Dolce & Gabbana campaign that featured a similar aesthetic to the wedding the designers had thrown for her just a month before.
When Kim informed Kourtney that her sisters had created a private group chat without her, aptly titled “not Kourtney,” she responded by saying she “absolutely” did not want to be part of that, and called Kim “a narcissist” who only cared about herself and her image.
The phone call concluded with Kourtney telling her sister that she was happier being away from her.
“By the way, I never knew the call was filmed,” Kourtney revealed in the May 30 episode, before adding that she had a feeling it was recorded after the fact. Though she initially vetoed the idea of the call being included in the episode, she acknowledged that the moment was “too good” not to use.
In a conversation with cameras, the Lemme founder delved deeper into her seemingly complicated dynamic with Kim.
“We’re sisters, I think people forget,” she explained. “They always say on our show, like, ‘How are they going to get through it?’ and they pick sides and everyone gets really riled up. I’m sure a lot of people have had crazy fights with their siblings. Maybe ours are more extreme, I’m not sure.”
Kim later agreed with Kourtney’s sentiments in a confessional of her own. She also addressed the “huge misconception” that the two hated each other. Though the pair can sometimes butt heads, she claimed that they’ve always had each other’s backs no matter what.
“The thing about Kourtney and I, no matter how crazy things are, no matter what’s going on, if she needs something I’m there, if I need something she’s there,” she said. “We’ll always be that way no matter what we’re going through.”
