Dakota Johnson recently opened up about a peculiar dream involving The 1975 frontman Matty Healy—just days after news broke of her reported split from Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 34, appeared on the June 10 episode of the Good Hang podcast hosted by Amy Poehler, where she recalled the strange dream in vivid detail. Despite her emotional split with Martin, Johnson kept the mood light with her surreal story.
“Matty Healy was in my dream and he was murdering people,” Johnson revealed, noting that he appeared as himself. But things quickly took a surreal turn. “When the people were looking for him—they were cops maybe—he would turn into a piece of asparagus,” she said with a laugh.
The dream didn’t stop there. According to Johnson, she eventually stumbled upon The 1975 singer, still in asparagus form, alongside none other than Angelina Jolie. “They were getting married, and they left in a helicopter together as asparagus,” she recounted.
Later, Johnson shared the story with her former partner, Chris Martin, who responded supportively. “That’s a really good pitch for a movie,” she quoted the Coldplay frontman as saying.
Although Johnson and Martin were last seen holding hands in India, fueling hopes of reconciliation, the recent split news left fans heartbroken. Still, Dakota’s quirky storytelling reminds us she hasn’t lost her sense of humor—and may even have a future in scriptwriting.
