Contrary to circulating social media videos suggesting otherwise, Gucci Mane has not addressed the latest incident, and the clips of him refusing to cooperate with authorities are unrelated and outdated.

Nine Charged in Coordinated Armed Robbery

According to the DOJ, nine individuals, including well-known music artists, have been federally charged for their involvement in kidnapping and robbing multiple victims at a Dallas music studio.

Arrests took place in Dallas, Texas, and Memphis, Tennessee, with defendants including:

  • Lontrell Williams Jr. a/k/a “Pooh Shiesty”
  • Lontrell Williams Sr.
  • Rodney Wright Jr. a/k/a “Big30”
  • Kedarius Waters
  • Terrance Rodgers
  • Damarian Gipson
  • Demarcus Glover
  • Kordae Johnson
  • Darrion McDaniel

United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, stated, “For anyone contemplating using violence and intimidation as a business practice, I’m here to tell you that it will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted.”

Details of the Attack

The complaint reveals that on January 10, three music industry professionals traveled to Dallas for what they believed was a legitimate business meeting. Allegedly orchestrated by Lontrell Williams Jr., the meeting turned into a violent takeover.

Williams Jr. reportedly brandished an AK-style pistol, forcing one victim to sign a contract release, while co-conspirators displayed firearms and stole Rolex watches, cash, and jewelry. One victim was choked nearly to unconsciousness, and the studio door was reportedly barricaded by Rodney Wright Jr. to prevent escape.

Social Media Evidence

Within hours of the incident, defendants posted images of stolen property on social media, providing authorities with additional evidence. Court documents indicate that Pooh Shiesty was on home confinement for a prior firearms conviction, and his father allegedly assisted in planning the attack.

Law Enforcement Response

D. Michael Dunavant highlighted the coordination between federal, state, and local agencies, including the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Memphis Police Department, in bringing the suspects to justice.

The defendants are set to be transported to the Northern District of Texas to face federal charges, with authorities emphasizing a commitment to holding violent criminals accountable.
