At the age of 31, Slater brought his unique style to the picket line, wearing predominantly black attire, which included a hoodie, loose-fitting slacks, and a baseball cap. With a coffee cup in one hand and a white tote bag slung casually over his shoulder, he made a striking presence.
Notably, Slater’s girlfriend, pop sensation Ariana Grande, was absent from the scene. Their relationship had been confirmed by PEOPLE back in July.
The couple’s romantic journey began while working together as co-stars in the Broadway production of “Wicked.” Their relationship unfolded following Grande’s separation from her husband, Dalton Gomez, and Slater’s separation from his wife, Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a child.
Ariana Grande, aged 30, finalized her divorce from Gomez, 28, earlier this month, following her divorce filing in September. They had exchanged their vows in May 2021. Throughout the divorce proceedings, both Grande and Gomez displayed a level of respect and consideration toward one another.
In contrast, Slater filed for divorce in New York at the end of July, shortly after his relationship with Ariana Grande became public. The specific reasons behind his separation from Lilly Jay, whom he married in the fall of 2018, were not disclosed.
