The group’s new world tour, titled ARIRANG, begins with a three-night opening in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9, 11, and 12, before expanding to a record-breaking 34 cities worldwide.

Sold-Out Shows and Global Demand

Tickets for the opening concerts in Goyang sold out almost immediately during pre-sale, with demand extending across South Korea, North America, and Europe within hours.

According to the group’s management agency, the overwhelming response highlights BTS’s continued global dominance in the music industry, even after their extended break.

Record-Breaking Revenue Expectations

Analysts estimate that the tour could generate up to 2.7 trillion won (approximately $1.81 billion), excluding additional fan spending on travel, merchandise, and related events.

The production is also expected to feature a 360-degree in-the-round stage design, offering immersive experiences for fans across all tour locations.

ARMY Fans Turn Goyang Into a Sea of Purple

As anticipation built, fans gathered at Goyang Stadium hours before the show, braving rain while dressed in purple—the signature color of BTS’s global fanbase, known as ARMY.

The emotional buildup reflects the group’s powerful cultural influence and the strong connection they maintain with their audience worldwide.

A Powerful Comeback After Hiatus

BTS went on hiatus in 2022 as members focused on solo projects and mandatory military service in South Korea, which concluded by mid-2025.

The group reunited to release their fifth studio album ARIRANG, which quickly topped the Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive weeks.

Chart-Topping Success Continues

The album’s lead single Swim debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 before slipping to No. 2 in its second week, marking another milestone for the group’s global influence.

With record-breaking sales, massive tour demand, and a powerful comeback, BTS continues to solidify its status as one of the biggest music acts in the world.
