Celebrated filmmakers Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have concluded the year on a high note, both professionally and personally, as reports emerge that the pair has secretly exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.
According to a Page Six source, the news of their nuptials surfaced when Gerwig joyfully shared the announcement while attending Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden concert. Dressed in an elegant white suit skirt and jacket, Gerwig reportedly informed people that they had just gotten married at City Hall.
The source revealed, “They were both glowing and celebrating. They are so happy.” Describing Gerwig as radiant and resembling a bride and Baumbach as handsomely dressed in his suit, the insider shared that the couple eagerly discussed their recent wedding moments before heading to the concert.
The journey of Gerwig, 40, and Baumbach, 53, began when the “Barbie” director cast Gerwig in one of his projects after being impressed by one of her films. Their romantic relationship blossomed in 2011, marking the start of both a personal and professional collaboration. The couple got engaged in 2020.
In addition to their creative partnership, Gerwig and Baumbach are proud parents to four-year-old son Harold, born in March 2019. The couple also quietly welcomed their second child in March 2023.
Beyond their shared family, Baumbach has a 13-year-old son named Rohmer from his previous marriage to Jennifer Jason Leigh.
The newlyweds were spotted attending the concert in high spirits, and the news of their secret ceremony has brought a wave of joy to fans and well-wishers. As the couple enters this new chapter of their lives, their journey together continues to be a blend of artistic collaboration and personal fulfillment.
