Reflecting on the evolution of the series from Season 1 to Season 2, Allen discussed the extensive preparation undertaken for the show’s inception. “We all did a lot of preparation before the first season. I went to culinary school and spent a lot of time in restaurants and stuff,” he recounted. However, he acknowledged that Season 2 shifted focus toward constructing the restaurant, resulting in fewer cooking scenes.
A promising revelation emerged as Allen hinted at a return to the dynamic and functional kitchen atmosphere that characterized the first season in The Bear’s Season 3. “But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to go back to that functioning kitchen atmosphere that we had in the first,” he shared.
Looking ahead to the new season, Allen disclosed plans for January, stating, “I do know in January I’m going to spend a fair amount of time getting together with some chefs. There’ll be a menu set, I believe, that’s going to be for the restaurant in the third season.” He added, “And I know that I’m going to start putting together that menu with different chefs and cooking and just trying to get prepared to do more of that stuff on camera.”
