Kanye West faced a tense moment during his Los Angeles show at SoFi Stadium when a production issue interrupted his performance.
During his rendition of the 2007 hit Good Life, West stopped the song multiple times after becoming frustrated with the lighting and pyrotechnic effects, which did not match his expected setup.
“Stop it, stop it, stop it,” he exclaimed, visibly annoyed. “Yo… I don’t like when the lights move like that… like disco s**.”*
Despite briefly apologizing to the crowd, the interruptions continued as West criticized the visuals, comparing the setup to a sketch and calling it “corny.” He added, “Stop doing the Vegas lights, bro… we went over this in rehearsal.”
After several restarts, the technical issues were finally resolved, and the show resumed.
Tour Highlights
The concert was part of West’s Ye: Homecoming tour, marking his first full headline U.S. shows since 2021. The series of performances also includes stops in Mexico City earlier this year and upcoming shows across Asia in 2024 and 2025.
A special highlight of the night was a touching moment with his daughter, North West, who joined him on stage for a brief embrace and performance, delighting fans.
Despite the hiccup, Kanye West’s Los Angeles show remains a memorable entry in his Ye: Homecoming tour, showcasing both his artistry and perfectionist approach to live production.
