In an interview with TooFab, the Golden Globes winner confessed, “During the film, I followed instructions, which is why Billy Friedkin and everyone were astonished that I never complained. I went through it without complaining.”
Elaborating on her experience, Blair admitted, “I didn’t enjoy it. It wasn’t a pleasant experience; I wasn’t comfortable, and I didn’t like the makeup. Everything was extremely challenging; the set was freezing at zero degrees in the morning. Yet, I thought, ‘If I can endure these difficulties and turn them into something positive, using it as a platform to aid animals.'”
At 64 years old, Blair’s life has taken a different turn as she passionately advocates for animal rights. Her journey into animal activism began in the early nineties when she observed a concerning trend of laws protecting animals being stripped away.
“We’ve actively protested against puppy mills, enlightening people about their existence, but unfortunately, a significant portion of the public prefers to turn a blind eye, saying, ‘I don’t want to know,'” she shared.
