Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly planning for their future with a strong focus on real estate, sources say, as the couple evaluates life in Los Angeles.
According to insiders speaking to Star Magazine, Meghan believes relocating closer to the city would make her daily routine easier.
“She’s sick of having to lose four hours of her day in the car for meetings or appointments,” the source explained. “The fact that neighbors continue to trash-talk them doesn’t exactly make her feel welcome.”
Challenges With Current Montecito Home
The Sussexes currently own a $14.65 million Montecito property, often described as a vacation home for Hollywood elites. Sources indicate that the house is empty most of the year, making social networking opportunities limited.
“It’s not like there are many chances to schmooze,” the insider added, noting that Meghan wants to remain more connected to Hollywood’s social scene, especially with her ongoing Netflix projects.
Plans for a Second Home
While financial realities may limit the couple from maintaining two large homes, Meghan is said to be considering alternatives in Malibu, Brentwood, or Bel Air, where many of her friends reside. The insider shared:
“She’d love a second place like many of her friends have, but the reality is they aren’t in the financial position to run two massive households. As a compromise, she’d be open to Malibu if Harry wants the beach life, or Calabasas to be near Kris Jenner.”
This move highlights the Sussexes’ ongoing efforts to balance personal convenience, career opportunities, and connections within Hollywood, as they continue shaping their post-royal life.
