Meghan Markle’s engagement ring seems to have undergone another noticeable change, igniting a flurry of speculation among fans. In trailers for her upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan, royal watchers were quick to spot a shift in the ring’s center stone, now appearing to have a square cut rather than its original cushion shape.
The discovery prompted a wave of comments across social media, with one fan questioning, “Is that a new engagement ring?” and another asking, “Is that the fourth evolution of the ring?” Several others speculated that the center stone may have changed altogether, with one user suggesting, “I don’t think the center stone is the same.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Meghan has altered her engagement ring. When Prince Harry proposed in 2017, he presented her with a ring featuring a cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, flanked by two round diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection. Meghan has previously explained that the inclusion of the diamonds from Harry’s late mother made her feel like Diana was “a part of this with us,” which she described as “important.”
In 2019, the ring received its first makeover when Meghan swapped the original plain gold band for a micro-pavé design, with royal biographer Omid Scobie later revealing that Harry had led the redesign. Speculation about further changes surfaced in 2022 when Meghan was seen with additional diamonds added to the setting.
Most recently, the ring was absent from Meghan’s hand last year, with reports suggesting it was sent for servicing. Now, with the release of promotional images for her upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan, fans are once again debating the ring’s latest evolution.
Originally slated for a January release, With Love, Meghan has now been delayed to March 4, leaving fans eagerly anticipating more details about the series—and, of course, Meghan’s continually evolving engagement ring.
