A Haunting Vision and a Tragic Fate

The newly released trailer, unveiled on July 9, hints at a chilling turn in the story. Wednesday experiences a disturbing vision where her roommate, Enid—played by Emma Myers—meets a tragic end. Confessing to her mother Morticia Addams, portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Wednesday admits, “Enid dies. And it’s all my fault.”

Despite her signature dark wit and calm exterior, Wednesday is determined to uncover the truth and alter the fate she foresees. “Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family,” she warns. “The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid—or die trying.”

Jenna Ortega’s Insights on Season Two

Jenna Ortega has received widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Wednesday. Speaking in March about the upcoming season, she revealed that some of the new footage is among her favorites. Returning to work with executive producer Tim Burton has added a fresh and edgy dimension to the series.

“Everything is very graphic,” Ortega told E! News. “It’s very exciting and inspiring to work with someone like that who gets you excited about the shots that you’re doing every day.”

The Challenge of Sustaining a Role

Ortega also spoke candidly about the mental and emotional demands of embodying Wednesday for an extended period. “Sometimes it’s a crawl to the finish line,” she admitted, “but he always keeps it exciting and it’s hard to get tired of a character like Wednesday.”

Release Dates and Format

The new season of Wednesday will be released on Netflix in two parts. The first part premieres on August 6, with the second following on September 3, giving fans plenty to look forward to.
