Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reportedly Set for Increased Payout in Netflix Deal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rumored to be on the verge of securing a more substantial payout from their £80 million deal with Netflix. Insider sources reveal that negotiations are underway between the royal couple and the streaming giant to revise their contract following the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike in November.

The source, closely connected to Harry and Meghan, emphasized their strong position in negotiating an augmented payout. Their track record of successful content production for Netflix, watched by millions globally, places them in a favorable position.

In 2020, Harry and Meghan inked a lucrative five-year contract with Netflix, valued at a staggering £80 million ($100 million). The agreement encompassed the development of various content, including children’s programming, feature films, documentaries, and docuseries.

Since the contract’s inception, the couple has been actively engaged in producing impactful content, including the development of a six-part series, “Harry & Meghan,” and a documentary titled “Harry’s Heart of Invictus.” They have also acquired the rights to adapt Carley Fortune’s romantic novel, “Meet Me at the Lake,” into a movie.

While the exact financial increment remains undisclosed, speculation suggests that Harry and Meghan could secure a significant increase in their existing deal. The couple’s production company, Archewell Productions, has already delivered two documentaries for Netflix, including “Heart of Invictus” and “Meghan Markle: A Royal Life,” with additional projects in the pipeline.

As the negotiations unfold, the world awaits further details on the potential enhanced payout that could further solidify Harry and Meghan’s successful partnership with Netflix.
