Prince Harry opened up about his future plans and parental concerns during an appearance on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast. The Duke of Sussex hinted that he has no intention of becoming a U.S. citizen anytime soon, suggesting that a return to the UK, where his family resides, could be on the horizon.
“There are no immediate plans,” Harry explained when Minhaj asked if he wanted to gain American citizenship. The father of Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, added that the longer he stays in the U.S., “the more confusing it gets.”
Sources say Harry is eager to rebuild his relationship with his father, King Charles III, after spending nearly two years apart. During his UK visit in September, the father-son duo shared a private tea at Clarence House—their first in 19 months. Insiders noted that Harry hopes his father will one day encourage the public to “accept him back again.”
Harry also addressed his reasons for keeping Archie and Lilibet’s faces off social media. Citing the “surge of unregulated AI” and uncertainty about how images might be used, he emphasized the need for caution. “Parents can do whatever they want,” he told Minhaj, “but you should be really worried about putting pictures of your kids online.”
Despite stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry continues to focus on family and privacy, balancing his public life in the U.S. with efforts to maintain close ties with his British roots.
