Prince Harry’s legal battles over his U.S. visa application are far from over, following the release of heavily redacted documents by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The case, which was closed five months ago, was reopened last month, triggering continued scrutiny over the Duke of Sussex’s visa application and past admissions in his memoir Spare.
The Heritage Foundation, a right-wing conservative think tank, has accused the DHS of offering Prince Harry special treatment. This stems from the Duke’s public admission of past drug use in his memoir. The Heritage Foundation argues that under U.S. immigration law, applicants with a history of drug use are typically denied entry. They also assert that lying on a visa application is a criminal offense. Despite these accusations, the recently released documents did not reveal any incriminating information that could jeopardize Harry’s U.S. status, marking a win for the royal.

A federal judge had previously ordered the release of the documents, which were made available on Tuesday. However, the redacted files did not include the full details of Harry’s immigration application, which the Heritage Foundation claims is key to understanding whether the Duke was truthful during the visa process. Nile Gardiner, a representative from the Heritage Foundation, told GB News that the group would continue pushing for the full release of Harry’s immigration records.
“These documents, as expected, did not include Prince Harry’s immigration application,” Gardiner said. “These are documents previously filed by the DHS to justify their decision not to release Harry’s records.” He emphasized that the public has a right to know whether Harry was honest in his application process, maintaining that “no one is above the law.”
Gardiner further stated that the release of the full immigration application could still be ordered by President Trump or the Secretary of Homeland Security, suggesting it is only a matter of time before the matter is fully addressed.
As this legal dispute continues, all eyes remain on the ongoing battle between Prince Harry, the DHS, and the Heritage Foundation, as they fight for full transparency regarding the Duke’s visa application.
