Jasveen Sangha, known as the Ketamine Queen, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing ketamine that contributed to the death of legendary actor Matthew Perry at age 54.

Sangha pleaded guilty to supplying the drug that directly led to Perry’s fatal overdose in October 2023. Federal investigators described her Los Angeles home as a “drug-selling emporium,” where authorities discovered ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, and Xanax during a raid.

Other Involved Parties

Sangha is one of five individuals charged in connection with supplying ketamine to the Friends star. Two doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, along with Perry’s assistant, were also implicated. Plasencia received a 30-month prison sentence, while Chavez was sentenced to home detention.

Impact on Perry’s Family

Perry, best known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing, struggled with drug addiction for years. Though he had used ketamine under medical supervision for depression, the drug supplied by Sangha and others contributed to his death.

Debbie Perry, stepmother of the late actor, urged the judge to impose the maximum sentence, emphasizing the irreversible damage caused to their family:

“You caused this… You who has talent for business enough to make money chose the one way that hurts people. Please give this heartless woman the maximum prison sentence so she won’t be able to hurt other families like ours,” she said.

Previous Offenses

Sangha also admitted to selling ketamine to another man in 2019, who died hours later from an overdose, highlighting a pattern of reckless behavior that authorities say endangered lives.
