Scarlett Johansson joins forces with NFL legends Dan Marino, Terrell Owens, and Bruce Smith in the M&M’s Super Bowl 2024 commercial, paying homage to almost champions. The ad introduces the “Almost Champions: Ring of Comfort,” a playful take on the concept of winning. In the commercial, Marino explains that the rings are made of compressed M&M’s peanut butter turned into real diamonds, showcasing a humorous approach to acknowledging near misses.

The M&M’s characters, including the iconic red M&M, playfully interact throughout the commercial. When Scarlett Johansson, known for her two Oscar losses, enters the scene, she humorously declares, “I’ve lost two Oscar races! In the same year!” This light-hearted nod to Johansson’s Oscar experiences adds a touch of celebrity humor to the commercial.

Johansson’s favorite aspect of the commercial is its playful and comforting tone, mirroring the essence of Peanut Butter M&M’S, one of her all-time favorite Mars candies. The actress hopes fans enjoy the ad as much as she enjoyed being part of its creation.

The full 30-second M&M’s commercial is scheduled to air during the first quarter of Super Bowl LVIII, bringing a delightful and amusing twist to the big game. The commercial encourages viewers to find joy in the fun side of both victories and losses, emphasizing the playful spirit of M&M’s.
