Taeyeon, the renowned South Korean singer and member of Girls’ Generation, recently shared her frustrations about being “misunderstood” and the struggles she faces in her daily life. Appearing on Park Na Rae’s YouTube channel alongside SHINee’s Key, the 35-year-old soloist opened up about her personal experiences, including her sense of boredom and the challenges she faces in balancing her busy career and personal time.

Reflecting on her life, Taeyeon confessed that her daily routine felt monotonous and “seriously boring.” “I wake up early in the morning, at 7 am,” she said, expressing how it sometimes feels like she’s stuck in a never-ending cycle. “I feel like I’m going crazy,” she added, revealing her frustration with the predictability of her life.

Known for being a “homebody,” Taeyeon explained how she spends her days off: “I literally just rest, order delivery food, drink coffee, and just stare outside.” She also acknowledged that, after years of hard work in her 20s, her life now feels a bit dull and repetitive. “I worked so hard in my 20s, but now my life feels dull,” she reflected.

Park Na Rae lightened the mood by humorously comparing Taeyeon’s routine to that of someone in a “nursing home.” Key, however, chimed in and clarified that Taeyeon does enjoy socializing when he invites her out, shedding light on her more sociable side.

Taking the opportunity to clear up misconceptions about her introverted image, Taeyeon emphasized, “I really like people! I miss people!” She pointed out that many mistakenly believe she doesn’t enjoy leaving her house, even though she values social interactions.

Expanding on this, Taeyeon revealed that during her overseas tours, she tends to stay in her hotel room due to the demands of her work. “Not even my staff can pull me out of my room,” she said. Despite her introverted tendencies, she stressed that it’s not a reflection of her dislike for others but rather a part of her lifestyle as a busy artist. “People misunderstand me so much!” she concluded.

Through her candid conversation, Taeyeon offered a rare glimpse into the realities of her life, dispelling the myths surrounding her image and emphasizing that her quiet nature is just one aspect of her multifaceted personality.
