Renowned hip-hop sensation Travis Scott is gearing up for a new chapter in his life, with aspirations to broaden his artistic horizons through education. In an exclusive interview with GQ, the 32-year-old rap superstar disclosed his plans to enroll in Harvard University’s esteemed architecture program.

Scott recognized for his chart-topping hits and dynamic stage presence, shared his enduring fascination with the intricate world of architecture. From dissecting unconventional structural designs to grappling with problem-solving, the artist envisions Harvard’s program as a transformative journey unlocking fresh realms of creativity.

“I’ve always been into structural design and structural engineering and, you know, trying to just build all different types of things, right?” Scott articulated during the interview, shedding light on his profound interest in the field.

Delving deeper into his passion, the “LOOOVE” hitmaker expressed, “When you start seeing how odd things can be shaped and then see how they can structurally work, it’s interesting. And I’m always trying to be like an ultimate problem solver. A lot of things intrigue me. Like, I’m doing rehearsals now and I’m always asking questions about even just structural and staging and how it can be built.”

While Scott’s imminent tour commitments will keep him occupied in the short term, the artist affirmed his intention to relocate to Boston post-concerts, fully immersing himself in the academic experience.

However, Scott is well aware that his celebrity status won’t pave an easy path through Harvard’s rigorous admissions standards. Asserting his commitment to earning his place, he stated, “They’re not letting me take any shortcuts.”

If accepted into the program, Scott envisions dedicating approximately four years to completing the multi-year course, all while seamlessly integrating his academic pursuits with the demands of his flourishing music career. As the hip-hop icon ventures into this exciting chapter, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing the intersection of Scott’s musical prowess and architectural aspirations.
