After the dramatic cliffhanger ending of Fast X in 2023, speculation around a sequel has been intense. Now, Diesel has officially confirmed that Fast & Furious 11 — the concluding chapter in the long-running action saga — will hit theaters in April 2027.

A Special Reveal at FuelFest in Los Angeles

The 57-year-old actor made the announcement during a surprise appearance at FuelFest in Los Angeles, where he was joined on stage by Cody Walker (the brother of the late Paul Walker) and franchise co-star Tyrese Gibson.

According to HotCars, Diesel not only confirmed the release date but also hinted at what fans can expect from the final installment.

In a video shared from the event, Diesel shared that Universal Studios approached him with a proposal: “Can we please have the finale of the Fast & Furious in April 2027?”

But Diesel had conditions. “I told them it could only happen under three conditions,” he said.

What to Expect in Fast & Furious 11

According to Diesel, the final Fast & Furious film will return to its roots in a big way. His three conditions to greenlight the sequel were:

  1. Bring the franchise back to Los Angeles, where it all began.
  2. Re-focus the story on street racing, the core of the original films.
  3. Reunite Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner, the beloved character portrayed by the late Paul Walker.

These demands signal that Fast & Furious 11 will be a nostalgic and emotional farewell, paying tribute to the series’ early days and honoring Paul Walker’s legacy.

Star-Studded Cast and Franchise Finale

Fans can look forward to the return of familiar faces, including Tyrese Gibson, Jason Momoa, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, and of course, Vin Diesel himself. With a mix of action, family, and street racing, the final chapter promises to bring the saga full circle.

Fast & Furious 11 — also referred to as Fast X: Part 2 — is set for a global release in April 2027, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated action films of the decade.
