In a surprising twist, renowned actor Woody Harrelson has found himself in the midst of controversy as his connection with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a prominent figure known for his outspoken stance against vaccinations, comes to light.
The connection between Harrelson and Kennedy became apparent when Cheryl Hines, Kennedy’s spouse and a former co-star of Harrelson’s in the movie “Wilson,” shared a cheerful selfie on social media. The photo captured a jovial moment between Hines and Harrelson, with the actor sporting a “Kennedy 2024” cap. This seemingly innocuous snapshot ignited speculation about Harrelson’s potential alignment with Kennedy’s views and political aspirations.
However, the response to this revelation has been far from unanimous. Hines kept her caption simple, stating “Great seeing you Woody,” yet the comments section of the post quickly became a battleground of differing opinions among followers.
One commenter showcased their wit with a play on words, saying, “My enthusiasm is on pause,” cleverly invoking Hines’ involvement in the well-known sitcom “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Another expressed their disappointment, exclaiming, “Oh no, not Woody…”
Kennedy himself is no stranger to controversy, particularly regarding his stance on the COVID-19 pandemic. His claims that the virus could be ethnically targeted have drawn sharp criticism for perpetuating harmful and racially charged ideologies.
He controversially suggested that COVID-19 “selectively targets Caucasians and Black individuals, while Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese are seemingly more resistant.”
Harrelson, unfortunately, has a history of promoting unfounded conspiracy theories as well. In 2020, he shared a social media post that linked the COVID-19 outbreak to the rollout of 5G networks in Wuhan, China. He also shared a video of the 2019 protests in Hong Kong, accompanied by the caption, “Meanwhile, the Chinese are dismantling 5G antennas.”
Adding to the intrigue, Harrelson recently raised eyebrows during his hosting stint on Saturday Night Live. He recounted a curious anecdote about a script he encountered, which appeared to subtly allude to his skepticism about vaccines.
“In a world where the most powerful drug cartels form alliances, seizing control over media and political figures, effectively confining global populations to their homes. The twist? People are allowed outside only if they continuously consume the cartel’s drugs.”
As Harrelson’s connection with Kennedy continues to draw attention and spark debate, it remains to be seen how these affiliations will impact both their public images and the ongoing discussions surrounding vaccinations and public health.
