Is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix Deal Ending Leading to Financial Trouble and Divorce?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing for a major announcement regarding their next move, following reports that their multi-million-dollar Netflix deal is coming to an end.

According to sources close to the matter, Netflix has no plans to renew the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s $100 million production deal, which expires later this year. The development has sparked concerns about the couple’s financial stability and even the future of their marriage.

“The couple’s honeymoon period will end with their exit from Netflix. It may create some serious problems in their marriage,” a source told RadarOnline.

The Sussexes reportedly relied heavily on the Netflix partnership to fund their lavish lifestyle, including upkeep of their $29 million Montecito mansion and a team of staff. With the contract ending and no renewal in sight, insiders fear the couple could be headed toward financial crisis.

Despite a second season of Meghan’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, being greenlit, it’s rumored to be their final project with the platform. The show premiered in March 2025 after delays caused by the California wildfires but failed to make a significant impact. It ranked 383rd among Netflix’s most-watched shows in the first half of the year with 5.3 million views—a modest figure compared to the unexpected streaming success of Meghan’s former legal drama, Suits.

“There was initial curiosity about them, but that’s evaporated,” a Netflix insider shared. “They’ve gone from buzzy to background noise.”

Prince Harry’s solo effort, a polo documentary, fared even worse. It ranked 3,436th out of 7,000 titles, drawing just over 500,000 views, making it one of Netflix’s least-watched original titles.

Industry professionals believe that Harry and Meghan’s creative struggles stem from a lack of authentic storytelling. One content executive noted,

“They’re not natural content creators. They’re trying to be what they think the public wants, rather than being genuine.”

With mounting pressure and dwindling content success, the Sussexes may soon reveal their next strategic move, as speculation grows around their financial future and the stability of their high-profile marriage.
