The meeting took place near the Canadian Cross, highlighting the shared history and sacrifices of Commonwealth forces.

A Historic and Sacred Site

Spanning more than 600 acres, Arlington National Cemetery is the resting place of over 400,000 military veterans and their families. The site also includes graves of notable figures, including former U.S. presidents, as well as members of the British Commonwealth.

The visit underscored the enduring ties between the United Kingdom and the United States, particularly in honoring military service and sacrifice.

Closing a Significant US Tour

The Arlington tribute marked the final stop of the King and Queen’s four-day visit to the United States, which included engagements in New York City and Washington, D.C.

Throughout the trip, the royal couple participated in events aimed at strengthening diplomatic and cultural connections between the two nations.
