Meghan Markle likely to enter into politics after ‘misogynistic’ Donald Trump win in the 2024 US election

Meghan Markle has long been the subject of speculation regarding a potential political career after once branding Donald Trump “divisive and misogynistic”.

With Donald Trump returning to the White House, could the former royal decide to pursue a future in politics, now that she is no longer bound by royal neutrality? Some experts think it’s possible, though others remain skeptical about her chances.

Royal insider Grant Harrold, a former butler to King Charles and Queen Camilla, commented, “It’s not impossible Meghan would run for president, but quite unlikely, and would people vote for her? It’s an interesting situation. It is possible that they might not be encouraged as they don’t tend to get as involved politically.

‘However, you never know what her next plan could be. But would Harry be able to support her?”

Meghan has long shown an interest in politics. In 2021, she spent time cold-calling US senators in support of paid parental leave, and during the 2020 election, she worked alongside feminist Gloria Steinem to encourage Americans to vote.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Gloria said: “She came home to vote. The first thing we did, and why she came to see me, was we sat at the dining room table where I am right now and we cold-called voters.”

While Harry and Meghan stayed largely neutral in the recent elections, they have continued their charitable work through their Archewell Foundation, focusing on voter registration.
