Prince Harry ‘adamant’ for permanent residence in UK amid security case

Prince Harry reportedly has not given up on his search to find a home in the UK as he manages the loss of his old life.

The Duke of Sussex, who stepped down from his royal duties in 2020 along with his wife Meghan Markle, has been battling the legal battle to get the level of security he had as a senior working royal in the UK only to secure a permanent residence in his home country.

While he lives in a luxurious Montecito mansion in the USA, Harry still wishes he could come back to visit when he pleases, per royal author Tom Quinn.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK,” Quinn told The Mirror.

Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.

Quinn continued, “He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan.”

The author explained that Prince Harry is “determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were evicted from their Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, in February 2023, following the Duke’s bombshell memoir, Spare.

Following the cancer diagnosis of his father King Charles, Prince Harry has actively been making efforts to acquiesce the royals for a possible reconciliation.
