Prince William made a rare social media appearance just a day after his estranged brother, Prince Harry, left the United States following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.
Prince Harry, devoted father to Archie and Lilibet, was in Canada, making a notable public appearance at the Grey Cup in Vancouver. His visit was tied to promoting the upcoming Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
During the event, Harry participated in a symbolic jersey pass to highlight the growing anticipation for the Games. He handed over a special IG25 jersey to Amar Doman, the owner of the BC Lions, alongside Team Canada competitor Wen Nie. Harry also took time to speak with The Sports Network and was seen waving to the enthusiastic crowd on the pitch.
In his interview, Harry shared his excitement, saying, “This is my first time attending the cup. Really looking forward to the game getting started. Let’s go!”
While Harry was in Canada, Prince William turned to social media to react to a recent photo from the African Earthshot Prize event. The official Earthshot Prize X (formerly Twitter) account shared a photo of William, captioned, “Prince William has been looking forward to an African Earthshot Prize for a long time and was excited that it’s finally here!”
Responding to the post, the official account for Prince William and Kate Middleton added a green heart emoji, a subtle but meaningful gesture of support for the environmental initiative.
The brothers’ separate engagements highlight their differing focuses: William’s commitment to environmental causes through the Earthshot Prize and Harry’s dedication to veteran support and global sportsmanship through the Invictus Games. Despite their strained relationship, both continue to make an impact on the global stage.
