Police confirmed that the driver was alone in the vehicle and that the train operator was not injured in the incident.

At club level, he is best remembered for his time with Arsenal FC between 1997 and 2001, where he was part of the squad that won both the Premier League and FA Cup in the 1997–98 season.

Although primarily serving as a backup goalkeeper during his time in England, Manninger built a strong reputation for reliability and professionalism.
