Greta Thunberg, the active Climate activist has been removed by Swedish police by force in Malmo, the Swedish city, a few hours after Swedish court fined her for violating a police order during last month’s protest.
A 20-year-old climate activist famously known after organizing climate protests in front of the Swedish parliament. While she accepted during the proceedings of court on Monday that she had violated the order but pleaded not guilty.
Thunberg was asked by local reporters if she would exert more notice in the future following her fine, and she answered that climate protesters were not going to back down. She added that we cannot save the World by applying the rules because the laws should be changed.
The climate activist added that it is ridiculous that those who act in line with science should pay the price for it.
Thunberg and other activists moved to Malmo Harbor after sentencing only to be brought away by police again for stopping traffic.
Thunberg had told the court that her actions were defensible. She added that I consider that we are in a crisis that endangers life, health, and property. Numerous people and communities are at stake both in the short term and in the long term, she said.
The Swedish court fined Thunberg 1,500 crowns ($144) and another 1,000 crowns to the Swedish fund for crime victims. According to Swedish law disobeying of police order carries six months in prison.
