Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict with the leaders of the BRICS bloc in a video conference on Tuesday, after which the group is expected to issue a joint statement, the Kremlin said.
The voice of the BRICS needed to be heard in the world, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will chair the video call with the BRICS leaders where the heads of state of six countries invited to join the group earlier this year — Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Argentina, and the United Arab Emirates — will attend the talks, the presidency had said in a statement on Monday.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will also participate in the virtual meeting, it said.
