Iran’s Foreign Minister meets with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince in Jeddah: Reports

On Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of Iran met with Mohammad bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in the city of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, Iranian news channel Press TV reported.

While the report didn’t provide further details of the meeting.

On Thursday, Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Saudi Arabia, making his first visit to Saudi Arabia after the reinstatement of diplomatic links between Tehran and Riyadh.

Iranian FM met with Saudi FM, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, in Riyadh.

Ties with Riyadh were moving in the suitable direction and emphasized that his nation was intent to bolster links with Saudi Arabia, Iran’s FM said during a mutual press conference with Saudi FM.

Saudi Arabia looked ahead to boosting ties with Iran, stating that diplomatic ties between Tehran and Riyadh mark a key moment for regional protection, Prince Faisal said.

Under the agreement, Saudi Arabia and Iran decided to reopen countries’ embassies and consulates in each other’s regions and implement security and economic cooperation deals that were signed over 20 years ago.
