King Charles royal Land Rover has been listed for sale at a motoring auction, Daily Express UK reported. Currently, the King’s car is on its third owner in Ilminster and has now stretched up 117,816 miles, the report said. The sale is being managed by Collecting Cars who called the car “a handsome example of the Land Rover Discovery 3, with excellent documented royal provenance”.
The vehicle has seats, as well as boasting 19-inch alloy wheels, and is known to be a choice of Charles’ mother Late Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles prefers his classic blue 1970 Aston Martin which was also granted to him on his 21st birthday, in 1969, by the late Queen, the report said.
King Charles has usually been known to drive himself to different royal engagements over the years. In 2008, Charles also decided of making his car more eco-friendly. His Aston Martin has been modified to run on bioethanol, made from wine and cheese, the report said, describing that the car drives on a mixture of 8 percent bioethanol and 15 percent unleaded petrol.
King Charles has always been passionate about various environmental issues. and has supported issues like climate change, organic farming, and global warming. The issues have remained high on his preference list for many years even before he ascended the throne in September last year.
