Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is set to receive a “snub” at his father’s coronation, according to reports. As per the Daily Beast, Harry will be seated far from his brother Prince William and father King Charles, in what is being called an “insulting plan.”
It is reported that Harry’s partners for the ceremony will be Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, daughters of Prince Andrew. This move comes after Buckingham Palace announced Harry’s attendance at the coronation.
Harry has previously spoken about his desire to reconnect with his father and brother, and in a recent interview with ITV, he said, “I want a family, not an institution.” He added, “I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back.”
The Duke has also expressed his hopes for a reconciliation with his family, saying, “There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”
However, it appears that Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, will not be attending the coronation. A close friend of the Duchess told People, “Meghan wants to be there to support her father-in-law, but at the same time, the scrutiny she receives outweighs the support.”
The source added, “There’s always going to be that other side challenging their reasoning, and who wants to put themselves in that position?”
As the royals prepare for King Charles’ coronation, all eyes will be on the seating arrangements and any potential interactions between Harry and his family.
