According to People magazine, Lopez, 55, began exploring real estate options in April 2024. This move came ahead of her official divorce filing on August 20, 2024, where she listed April 26, 2024, as the date of their separation in documents submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Sources close to Lopez have indicated that her decision to start house hunting aligned with the early stages of their separation. One insider commented that Lopez had exhausted her efforts to salvage the marriage and was left heartbroken. “She put in a lot of effort to make things work and is deeply saddened by the outcome,” the source said.
Another insider revealed that Affleck was not inclined to mend their relationship. “Jennifer is very disappointed. Ben has not shown any commitment to resolving their issues or continuing the marriage. It’s clear that she needs to prioritize her own well-being now,” the source added.
