According to People magazine, the accuser—identified in court documents as Jane Doe—filed a motion on April 22, 2025, requesting the court to throw out Jay-Z’s lawsuit. The hip-hop mogul, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is suing Doe and her legal team for defamation, malicious prosecution, abuse of process, and civil conspiracy.

In December 2024, Doe filed a lawsuit claiming that Jay-Z and fellow music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs sexually assaulted her at an MTV VMAs afterparty in 2000 when she was only 13 years old. However, the lawsuit was voluntarily withdrawn in February 2025.
In response, Jay-Z launched a countersuit in March, describing the original claims as “false” and “malicious.” His legal filing accused Doe and her attorneys of attempting to extort him while damaging his personal and professional reputation.
